Air Fried Apple Bars

If you are looking for a Midday, post lunch dessert, then you’ve found it! These Air Fried Apple bars are refreshing, naturally sweetened, and even gluten free! I think of it as a totally clean version of McDonalds Apple Pie bars with only 5 simple ingredients
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 8 minutes
Total Time 18 minutes
Servings 5 bars

Ingredients

  • 2 Organic Apples
  • 3 Tablespoons 100% Maple Syrup
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons Cinnamon
  • Sprinkle of coconut sugar
  • 5 @sietefoods tortillas I used almond flour, but any of there’s will work

Instructions

  • Wash and dice your apples into small cubes.
  • Place into a small pot and pour over your maple syrup and cinnamon
  • Add to the stove over medium heat. Add a splash of water and cover the pot with a lid until it comes to a boil
  • Once the liquid starts to boil, drop the heat just a little bit and thoroughly the apple mixture every couple of minutes. Do this until the apples are softened almost all the way through.
  • Remove from heat and let cool down.
  • Place your tortilla on a piece of parchment paper and begin to assemble - place about 2 big spoonfuls of mixture onto the tortilla and wrap up like a mini burrito.
  • Place into air fryer and repeat
  • You should have some ‘juice’ left over in your pot from the apples: Scoop 1 spoonful of the liquid onto each apple bar.
  • Now sprinkle on some coconut sugar on top of each one.
  • Cook in the air fryer on 350 for about 8 minutes. Halfway through, pour on any extra liquid you have left in the pot from the apples.
  • Remove from the air fryer and let cool down for about 5 minutes. And enjoy!
  • *Optional - I melted some Oat Butter from @oat.haus and dipped them in and it was so good
