Cilantro Avocado Sauce

There’s something undeniably satisfying about that perfect finishing touch to your meal, that secret sauce that takes your dish from good to unforgettable. If your meals have been missing that extra component or maybe just a little too dry, then this sauce is for you. Creamy, spicy, and versatile, this sauce is the perfect accompaniment for tacos, bowls, and it pairs exceptionally well with both steak and chicken. Whether you prefer spicy or a milder option, this sauce has got you covered.

The Creamy Base: The two best ingredients for any creamy dish is ripe avocados and greek yogurt. This duo makes a smooth texture that’s impossible to resist. The avocado not only adds richness but also a host of health benefits, including healthy fats and vitamins. Meanwhile, Greek yogurt lends a pleasant tanginess and a dose of probiotics to your sauce.

The Spice Factor: Jalapeños are included in this recipe – it not only adds heat but also contributes a distinct, smoky flavor that complements the creaminess of the base. If you’re a fan of spicy foods, the jalapeño will be your best friend in this recipe. It provides a tantalizing heat that adds dimension to the sauce.

Non-Spicy Option: Not everyone is a fan of heat, and I get that. This biggest difference in the recipe is to simply scrape out all of the seeds from the Jalapeño. You can take them out all together, but I recommend including it due to the flavor it still adds even without the seeds.

Versatility on Your Plate: It’s the perfect drizzle for your tacos, bowls, and more. It complements steak and chicken the best and can be used as a dipping sauce or to cover up the taste of veggies if you are a picky eater. Poured this over some Arugula and I was able to get my husband to actually eat some greens.

How to Use It:

  • Tacos: Drizzle it generously over your favorite tacos, whether they’re loaded with grilled chicken, beef, or veggies.
  • Bowls: Add a dollop of Cilantro Avocado Sauce to your grain or salad bowls for an instant flavor upgrade.
  • Steak and Chicken: Serve it as a side sauce for grilled steak or roasted chicken. It’s a winning combination that’s sure to impress.
